This will be a day full of creativity. The first stop will be a visit to a feather workshop in Zaachila where the exquisite coronas or headdresses used in the

traditional Zapotec Danza de la Pluma are crafted, along with many other items. Then on to San Bartolo Coyotepec to visit the black pottery workshop of the famed Doña Rosa followed by a stop at the Fabian family ceramic workshop. The multi award-winning Omar Fabian Canseco is known for work that incorporates black pottery with intricate painting and use of negative space.The last stop will be MEAPO (Museo Estatal de Arte Popular de Oaxaca), a small gem of a folk-art museum. We will end the day with lunch at a local restaurant in San Bartolo.

Not included: Local restaurant in San Bartolo Coyotepec.  Expect to pay 200-250 for food and drink

This tour will depart on time at 9:00 am  from the parking lot across from the south side of Llano Park. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

If this tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
