The tour will begin with lunch at the wonderful Amlu restaurant in San Martin Tilcajete. We will then go to the cemetery (panteón) in San Antonino Castillo Velasco, where families decorate the graves of their departed with elaborate floral designs. The colors of magenta from cockscombs and yellow/orange/rust of marigolds (cempazúchil or zempoalxochitl) grown in nearby fields are especially vivid. Many vendors of embroidered huipils, as well as other artisans, line the road just outside the patheon.

Not included: Cost of lunch and food, drink, and crafts outside the cemetery are not included in the tour price. Please bring cash.

Participants are encouraged to attend the Día de los Muertos History and Traditions presentation at the OLL October 30 at 4:30 PM.

This tour will depart on time from the parking lot across from the south side of Llano Park at 12:00 pm. Unclaimed seats may be re-sold at boarding time.

If this tour is sold out, you can take a chance that seats may be available and come to the boarding spot 15 minutes before departure. These seats must be paid for in cash.
