About the event

This presentation is designed to improve attendees understanding and practical use of colloquial expressions as spoken in Mexico. The presentation is intended for all students of Spanish, whether formal or informal study, and for anyone with an interest in acquiring a greater mastery of the language and exploring the many nuances that often cause confusion.

Presenter: Born and raised in Oaxaca, Roberto Cruz attended high school and college in Los Angeles, CA where he became proficient in English. Roberto has over 20 years of experience teaching both English and Spanish as a foreign language. He served as Academic Coordinator of the Harmon Hall School of English in Oaxaca and now teaches Spanish full time to adult US and Canadian visitors and residents of Oaxaca. Roberto’s experience living in two countries with disparate cultures and languages has resulted in a life-long interest in the connections between language and culture.
